This blog will follow the details of building a butt and pass style log home. This is the style taught by the Log Home Builders Association of North America. The LHBA teaches people how to build a true log home and save many thousands of dollars doing it.

Log work done...First floor started.

Yet another ice storm has delayed us a week.
Our lifting rig. All logs were put into place with this setup.
All 16 course complete.
First floor being installed.

Ridge Pole Goes Up

We built these brackets to keep the ridge pole in place until we got it pinned.





This is the girder support log and center RPSL both attached to the girder and each other.
