This blog will follow the details of building a butt and pass style log home. This is the style taught by the Log Home Builders Association of North America. The LHBA teaches people how to build a true log home and save many thousands of dollars doing it.

3D Model
Here's a 3D drawing of the log home we will build. This was done using Google SketchUp. It's a very easy to use 3D Modeler.
